Toronto, July 19, 2006

The OCBCC Council is happy to announce, and welcome, Elizabeth Ablett as the Coalition’s new Executive Director. Elizabeth comes to us with impressive coalition, organizing and communications experience on at least three continents!
Most recently Elizabeth worked with Campaign 2000 as a project and program manager engaging in policy analysis and advocacy on child poverty issues. She has worked on political campaigns in Toronto, local sustainability and community development projects, including working with the public and non-profit sectors for the Radio Wanno project in London, England, and Canada-wide public affairs and media relations with the Canada China Business Council. Elizabeth also has experience with fund-raising, government relations and is fluent in English, French and basic Mandarin.

There is no doubt that with her broad experience, excellent writing skills and high energy, Elizabeth will make a wonderful addition to our team. Elizabeth starts on July 31, 2006 and we wish her every success!
