There are so many problems with the subsidy system – the main problem being not enough subsidies! You can qualify and still not get subsidized child care. There are over 11,000 families who qualify and put themselves on the City of Toronto waiting list.
We need to stop trying to fix a broken subsidy system – none will be fair to everyone. How about a universal child care program for every family? That’s what we will be fighting for in the next election!
