The Ontario Coalition for Better Child Care, CUPE and our labour partners are gearing up for the seventh annual Child Care Worker & Early Childhood Educator Appreciation Day. This year we will celebrate and recognize the contribution of child care workers on Wednesday October 24th 2007.

In conjunction with this year’s Week of the Child (October 13 –21), we will be encouraging municipal governments to officially designate October 24th as Child Care Worker & Early Childhood Educator Appreciation Day, and we invite you to join with us.

This is an opportunity to raise awareness about the valuable role and contributions of Early Childhood Educators and child care workers in the lives of children, their families and the broader community. By working together we can continue to make early learning and care an important issue in our communities.

See the list of municipalities which have passed a resolution to proclaim Child Care Worker & Early Childhood Educator Appreciation Day.
