Fall 2008 Campaign: The Crisis in Child Care
We are frustrated by high parent fees, long waiting lists, low pay for staff and the lack of political commitment to really build a system of early learning and child care in Ontario. We know that families want and need high quality child care – we are their voice on the issue.
Ontario is falling behind other provinces. Not just Quebec - where the provincial government has invested in wages and compensation for staff as part of a comprehensive system with $7/day child care - but we have fallen behind Manitoba and other provinces. Here's more about the campaign.
