The Cornwall Standard Freeholder

Davit Nesseth of the Standard Freeholder reports that the Trinity Day Care Centre in Cornwall, which has been open for more than 20 years, will be closing due to the financial impact of the upcoming Full Day Learning program in September.The small program was licensed for just 24 children and only two of those spaces were for toddlers. To transition to a toddler-based program would have required an increase in staff, more space, a change in license, and a renovation of the space. Treasurer Linda Roach said that it was just not economically viable for them to do.

"We don't have the resources, the people, the dollars, or the physical space to change our program," Roach said.
