Listeria found at Vaughan daycare where tot died

York Public Health reports finds a potentially deadly bacterium, Listeria, found at the Vaughan illegal home daycare. The report also describes other sanitary concerns, such as diapers found in the kitchen and expired food in the fridge.

The Freedom of Information request filed by the Ontario Coalition for Better Child Care details the health and sanitation findings. As well, it documents conversations where the owners suggest they will open another daycare at their home next door. Andrea Calver, coordinator of the OCBCC, said "they think they are going to reopen next door? The place with the 14 dogs? It’s unbelievable to me."
