Media Advisory-Ontario Budget: Windsor Walk to Tell Duncan "Invest in Kids!"

Parents, child care advocates, child care and child protection workers will be walking on Friday, March 5 to ask Ontario Finance Minister Dwight Duncan to keep city day cares open and make child care and child protection a priority in his spring budget.

The walk, sponsored by the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Ontario and the Ontario Coalition for Better Child Care (OCBCC), and supported by the Windsor and District Labour Council, will gather directly across from the Glengarry Child Care Centre, 495 Glengarry Avenue, one of seven Windsor day cares marked for closure.
