Municipal and School Board Elections

This October, municipalities across Ontario will vote in new councillors and school board trustees. These elected representatives hold significant decision-making responsibility for child care and early learning programs, and we will be launching a campaign with the goal that all elected councillors and trustees are ready to take positive action for child care in their communities.

We will be calling on individuals across the province to contact their local candidates with a clear message - if we can depend on you to advocate for child care, you can depend on our support on elections day.

The campaign depends on you! If you'd like to get involved sign up for our quarterly advocacy update to get updates right to your inbox.

Hi William, clicking on the image above will take you to our campaign website, where you can find flyers, pledge cards and posters to send to your candidates. We also have stacks of paper copies that we would be happy to send you in the mail, if you visit the ‘Order Materials’ page at Thanks for getting involved!

What do you suggest that voters send to municipal candidates? Some good way to urge them to “take the pledge”?
