New Strategy for Newfoundland and Labrador Will Create 4,800 Child Care Spaces

The Provincial government of Newfoundland and Labrador has introduced a strategy that will see 4,800 new Child Care spaces open over the next 10 years.

Charlene Johnson, who is the minister of child, youth and family services, will see to double the Child Care budget over the next ten years.

Along with the planned new spaces, grants will be available to open Child Care centres and cap fees.

Newfoundland and Labrador have made a positive step to raise the importance of Child Care at the provincial level.
