Ever since consultants KPMG and Regional Staff recommended the closure of the 12 regionally run child care centres, there have been a number of myths on the need for child care in Peel.

The OCBCC presentation focused on:

the lack of data provided to task force members

addressing the key concerns of parents - quality of  child care programs

Myths that full-day kindergarten means less need for child care, or that the majority of Peel residents don't benefit from the centres.
