Ontario opens door to more public funds for 'big box' child care

The government has decided to give 'big box' child care operators more access to public funds in order to expand in Ontario. Despite decades of research that have found a decrease in quality at for-profit centres, the government has gone ahead and lifted the for-profit threshold with the hopes that it will make child care more accessible to everyone in Ontario.
