Sault Ste. Marie parents voice their concerns surrounding the risk of city run child care centres closing. The reason for these closures all lead back to financial reasons and implementation of the new child care funding formula, which translates into a 27.5 % reduction in grants for the city facilities. Closure of centres place parents at risk of losing their job and not being able to find high quality care for their children.
