Shows his support to Child Care Worker and Early Childhood Educator Appreciation Day.

" This year Dr. Charles Pascal, a constituent of Toronto - Danforth will recieve the Annual Award for "Excellence in Advocacy". If his vision from the report is fully impelment Ontario will dramatically improve the services available to all children from infancy to 12 years of age"

Wednesday October 21st (yesterday when you read the statement on Thursday) was Childcare Worker and Early Childhood Educator Appreciation Day.

This past summer I met with a group of frustrated parents in my riding who are anxious to find the safe, affordable well-run daycare. Affordable, publiicly-funded child care is not only good for our children, families and communities, it is also essential to help us rebuild Ontario's economy.

There are seven concerts for children and parents being held around the province from October to November 2009 sponsored by the Ontario Coalition for Better Childcare (OCBCC), CUPE Ontario, and the Ontario Federation of Labour (OFL). To find more information about these free events you can go to www.cupe.on.ca

The event in Toronto-Danforth called It's Time to 'Jump Up!' for Public Child Care will be at Riverdale Collegiate 1094 Gerrard St. E. (at Jones) on November 8th from 2pm to 4pm. Chris McKhool and  Quebec's Genticorum will be performing. There will be readings by local authors and goodies for the kids to bring home. I hope those in support of publicy funded child care will come out to support these events. I plan to be there to show my support.
