OCBCC's Submission to the Gender Wage Gap Strategy Steering Committee

A new report from the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives (CCPA) shows that for the second year running Ontario has the highest child care fees in the country – pointing to an affordability crisis for parents. 

The OCBCC has written to Sault Ste. Marie Mayor Christian Provenzano and City Councillors to urge continued support for municipal child care. Council will vote December 7th. 

The OCBCC are pleased to share our latest report: Child Care Matters to Everyone: A Snapshot of Child Care in Ontario. In this report we try something new. We weave together recent data on child care in Ontario with personal perspectives to create a living snapshot of the state of child care in our province.
