Q: 4. Do you have any further comments on any of the proposed regulation changes?

A: The proposed changes do not improve quality and in fact, seem to potentially decrease nurturing, responsive environments for young children during their critical early years. I am disappointed in many of the proposed regulatory changes, particularly for the proposed increase in children in licensed Home-Based Child Care. It appears to me that young children (0-4) are not really that important to Ontarians!

Q: 4. Do you have any further comments on any of the proposed regulation changes?

A: The ratios for school age are not appropriate, specifically the older age group with one staff (& an unpaid young teenage assistant). Children are presenting with many behaviours, so when the staff is dealing with the child with the behaviour the 13 year old is dealing with the remaining 19. How can anyone say this is a safe situation!
