Ottawa’s Stittsville child care centre has been impacted by cancer. It has had two parents pass away from cancer in the past while another parent is currently battling the disease. That’s why the centre began its Canadian Cancer Society Fundraiser Barbeque. This year the event raised $1,150 and was turned over to Canadian Cancer Society. Despite the threat of rain, the rain held off for this year's event and truly brought the community together.
