Only 20% of children in Ontario are attending licensed child care program. So where does the rest of the children go? They are forced to use unlicensed child care program where it is a sector that is under-regulated. We have been advocating for a national child care porgram but the idea was killed by Harper's $5 Billion initiative by paying families $100/month- which only covers 2 days of child care per child.
