Peter Tabuns, NDP Education Critic continues his campaign for funding to sustain child care programs.

"“The government has continued to not take any action to ensure that we don’t lose childcare spaces and centres in the transition to full-day kindergarten,” Tabuns said. “They’ve been getting pressed on this. They haven’t been acting.”

Peter Tabuns and the NDP have been putting child care on the provincial agenda. MPP Tabuns has held two community meetings on sustaining child care, along with MPP's Jonah Schein, Cheri DiNovo and Jagmeet Singh with NDP Leader Andrea Horwath.

Attention to child care comes at a critical time with an upcoming Provincial budget - a budget where child care needs funding to ensure that early learning and child care can continue to provide much needed services to children and families.
