Child care help: National website to help parents choose quality daycare

The tragic death of two toddlers in unlicensed home daycares over the summer has advocates calling for an increase in licensed child care. Parents are equally confused when facing the incredible challenge of finding quality, licensed, and affordable care for their children.

A new website funded by the Canadian Union of Postal Workers and produced by the Child Care Resource and Research Unit, provides parents across Canada with information about child care regulations a detailed check-list for their child care search. As well, they provide a video to demonstrate what quality looks like in centre based care.
