Sam Hammond, President of the Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario (ETFO), has written a letter to Premier Dalton McGuinty urging the provincial government to "step in to address the growing crisis in the child care sector".
Mr. Hammond writes, "Like our investment in public education, support for child care is key to healthy development of young children and to the ability for parents to work, retrain, or attend school."
