Finding a quality licensed child care spot in Toronto is becoming a very difficult task for families. In some neighborhoods the wait list is as long as 2 years. The demand for child care is outstripping the supply. It's at the point that even if expecting parents are on a wait list, chances are they won't be able to get care in an infant spot. Compounding the problem, there is no city-wide regulated wait list, leaving many parents feeling frustrated and skeptical by the lack of transparency while on these wait lists.
