The Ford government announced that they will be lifting the for-profit threshold opening the door to big box corporate day cares to start expanding in Ontario. With the need for more child care spaces in Ontario, lifting the threshold will allow for more child care centres to open. However, child care advocates are concerned about how this will impact the quality of care moving forward.
