In her first sit-down interview, since returning to the premier’s office, Kathleen Wynne stands by her promise to wipe out Ontario’s deficit within three years. Her message amounts to no mass layoffs, but no big payoffs either. She will push the envelope, but stay within the fiscal envelope. During the interview Wynne also recognized child care and home-care workers’ wages who are not being paid enough to make their work stable.
