Business in Vancouver

Vancouver business explores economic reasons for governments to fund child care. Quebec's $7 a day program is used as an example when introducing the increase in labour force participation in women with children under six. 

The number of women since 1996 has increased nearly 22 percent in Quebec. 

An economic professor at the University of British Columbia, Kevin Milligan states that all evidence has shown that unaffordable and unavailable child care is a barrier to working women.
