The NDP today came forward as Canada's first party to announce a national child care program as part of a platform for the 2015 federal election today, in an event held at an Ottawa-area not-for-profit child care centre. They plan to work with the provinces and territories to deliver a child care program costing families no more than $15/day, emphasizing universality, affordability, quality, inclusivity, accessibility and accountability.
