Renovation, staff expenses blamed for lack of infant daycare

With the implementation of FDK and 20,000 new child care spots opening up,why is there a lack of spots for infants?

Local child care care providers in the Waterloo Region say the lack of infant child care is due to the cost of renovations and staff expenses (with one staff needed for every three infants).

To date, "the provincial government has spent more than $100 million to help renovate child care spaces for younger children".
