Toronto has released its new anti poverty strategy for June 2015 with 24 recommendations. The article posted by the Toronto Star states that only 19% of children aged 1-12 have access to licensed child care. Among the 24 recommendations, increasing the number of subsidized child care spaces has been acknowledged as a bold step to eliminating poverty in Toronto.
