Child's death raises private daycare questions

After a child’s death in Vaughan, many questions are being raised about private child care. There is a huge demand for child care and there is very little government oversight for private child care. Don Giesbrecht, CEO of Canadian Child Care Federation said "the majority of child care in this country is being done in unregulated, unmonitored, unlicensed, environments”. “Until somebody says something is wrong, there's no mechanism that's going to stop them. There's no daycare policy that is going to shut you down unless there's a formal complaint."
