Andrea Horwath mentions the one-time $100 million cash injection towards child care would “stabilize” the early childhood education system. At her brief appearance in Hamilton on May 11th, 2014, she mentioned the NDP’s main objective towards child care, is to ensure affordable child care spaces, prevent further child care centres from closing and push for higher early childhood education wages.
