The Coalition of Child Care Advocates of B.C continues to push for a $10 a day child care plan. On Saturday, May 9th parents and supporters came together to draw attention for affordable child care by participating in a stroller brigade.
The coalition argues that non profit child care is a public good is a public service like education and health care and should therefor be publicly funded. The plan calls for $10 a day for full time child care and $7 a day for part time child care with no user fees towards families with an annual income lower than $40,000.
