Prince of Wales Public School (POW) has some decidedly younger students in their classrooms these days. For the past few weeks, the school has been the temporary home of the Brockville YMCA Daycare, while that organization is having its roof repaired, said Kyle Taugher, principal at POW.
While the daycare gains a temporary home at no charge, older students at POW also benefit. Daycare students have been joined by older students for reading buddy programs and other events.
"It's good exposure for the school because we get new kids in here and parents see a quality, safe, welcoming school their children may want to attend. Everybody is happy and kids are having a great time."
