National Webinar - Creating an Anti-Racist Child Care System in Canada / Webinaire : Créer un système de services éducatifs à l’enfance antiraciste au Canada
On March 19, 2024, the Ontario Coalition for Better Child Care (OCBCC) in collaboration with Child Care Now (CCN) and the Association of Early Childhood Educators Ontario (AECEO), hosted webinar and panel discussion featuring:
- Recommendations to build an anti-racist child care system in Canada;
- On-the-ground anti-racism work across Canada;
- Strategies to sustain project impacts and outcomes.
We spotlighted the work of the OCBCC's three-year project funded by Women and Gender Equality Canada, followed by a panel discussion featuring: Sanzida Habib, Women's Leadership & Development Coordinator, Pacific Immigrant Resources Society; Margaret Wanyoike, a participant from PIRS' project; Sultana Jahangir, Executive Director of South Asian Women and Immigrants' Services (SAWIS) & Gabriela Cervantes , Program Officer, Oxfam Canada.
